Crest on Chain of Office
The Mayor’s Chain of Office was developed in 1970, in preparation for the amalgamation of the Village of Woodbridge and Township of Vaughan into a “Town” in 1971. This Chain, which depicts the Vaughan Coat of Arms and was developed in the late 1860s, was given ceremoniously to Mayor G.A. Williams by the outgoing Woodbridge Reeve John McLean.
