Coleraine Public School

School Section No. 16

Coleraine School (School Section No. 16) was first established in 1853, with a brick building being built in 1868. In 1885, the average attendance was 19 students, and the teacher was Miss McDonald. In 1956, the “little red schoolhouse,” as the brick building was known, was replaced by a modern school. This school was later closed by the Vaughan Township School Board. The building was sold and became a private home. Pictured above are the students and their families of Coleraine Public School.
