Kleinburg United Church
As with other Methodist churches in Vaughan, the Kleinburg Wesleyan Methodist Church came into being as a congregation before a physical church building was constructed. In 1869, the Lutheran church on Lot 24, Concession 8, was purchased to hold services. It was a big, white, frame building that overlooked the Humber Valley, as depicted above. In 1925, with the United Church Union, Kleinburg Methodist Church became the Kleinburg United Church. A new brick church was opened in 1927, with Cecil and Irene Mitchell donating some of their land for the building of the new church.
