Jun., 2016: University Women's Club fonds
The University Women's Club of Vaughan began in 1972 with the goal of developing an organization which was both community oriented and promoted leadership and civic involvement for women. As a branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW), the University Women's Club remains active within the Vaughan community today, organizing speakers, education initiatives, fundraisers and events throughout the City. Spanning the years 1971-2015, the fonds consists of minutes, agendas, correspondence, photographs, programs and event records. Of particular note are the working drafts included for the community project "Roads, Walks and Streams", as well as photographs from various events hosted by the Club. Ongoing accessions for this fonds are expected.
