Feb., 2013: Vaughan Township Historical Society Fonds
The Vaughan Township Historical Society was formed in 1970 as an advocacy group for the promotion of the study of local history and the preservation of Vaughan's architectural and documentary heritage. The fonds consists of minute books, membership lists, financial documents, architectural material relating to the Vellore School, a plan of the side-road between Lots 40 and 41, Concession 1, and photo prints of various people and buildings throughout the community. Of note, too, is a series of postcards (pictured here) which provide extensive visual documentation of Vaughan Township during the late 19th to early 20th centuries.
