Mar., 2017: Vellore Junior Farmers' Club fonds

The Vellore Junior Farmers' Club was formed in 1930. Like many such clubs formed in Vaughan and Ontario at the time, it had two distinct purposes: to disseminate information relating to agriculture and to provide a social outlet for youth. The Club disbanded in 1970. Spanning the years 1932-1953, the fonds consists of the Club's newsletter, Vellore Pep, for 1932-1935, photoprints from 1938 with identification of subjects, and a song book for junior farmers produced by the Junior Farmers' Association of Ontario in 1953.
