Nov., 2018: Page Family fonds

One of Vaughan's earlier settler families, the Pages’ lineage can be traced to 1838, when 200 acres of Crown Land were granted to Lewis Page by the King. Settling on lot 9, concession 2 (near present day Hwy 7 and Bathurst Street), the Pages quickly became prominent in the field of agricultural science. The Page Family fonds spans the years 1902-1984 and consists of 6cm of textual records and 25 photographs. Included in the collection are educational records, Stewart Page’s fourth year thesis at the Ontario Agricultural College (1924), family transcripts, photoprints of the Page property and family and information regarding Vaughan’s settlement patterns and agricultural history.
