Jun., 2018: Farrand Brothers, 1885
William J. Farrand was a pharmacist who resided in Woodbridge with his family in the latter half of the 1800s. Between 1890 and 1895, he was employed with Northrop and Lyman Co. Ltd., manufacturers and wholesale dealers in patent medicines, located in Toronto. The family’s keen interest in photography provides a rich source of various Woodbridge scenes during the 1850s and 1860s, as well as examples of early Vaughan portrait photographs.
