This image shows the first air shipment of cattle from Canada, which departed from the Malton Airport just over 70 years ago. This trial shipment of Holstein calves started the beginning of a Canadian cattle export business to South America. A calf from the Humbercrest Farm in Woodbridge was onboard this maiden voyage. Pictured from left to right: W.H. Reid, Roy H. Barker, Carl Weber, W.H. McCaugherty, Ray Clarkson and W. Mort Wardlaw.
