Dec., 2016: G. Elmore Reaman Fonds

Born in Concord in 1889, G. Elmore Reaman was an author, educator, lecturer and columnist. He was the founder of the Glen Lawrence Private School in Toronto, where he was the principal from 1932-1939, and head of the English Department at the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph from 1939-1959. Reaman was an active member in many historical organizations in Ontario and founded several himself, including the Pennsylvania German Folklore Society, the Ontario Genealogical Society and the Huguenot Society of Ontario. He published over 20 books, including A History of Vaughan Township. His fonds spans the years 1907-1971 and includes 11 photoprints of students of the Vellore School, 1 photoprint of Woodbridge and 2 printer's master copies of A History of Vaughan Township.
