Oct., 2015: Nashville Cemetery Company fonds

Formed in 1912, the Nashville Cemetery Company was established by 14 local investors connected with the Zoar Primitive Methodist Church Cemetery. Responsible for the administration, oversight and upkeep of the Nashville Cemetery (located in Concession 9, Lot 24 – present day 10445 Huntington Road), the Company oversaw the management of the cemetery until 1971, when the Town of Vaughan assumed this function. Consisting of 27 cm, and over 500 items of textual records, the fonds contains plot indexes, deeds, financial records and minutes relating to the operation of the Cemetery Company during its 59 years of operation.
