Teams at Work on Canadian Pacific Rail Line, 1908

Teams at work in 1908 constructing the Canadian Pacific Railway through Vaughan Township. The CPR was founded in 1881 and its goal was to link Canada's populated areas with the relatively unpopulated West. It was completed on Nov.7, 1885 - six years ahead of schedule - when the last spike was driven at Craigellachie, B.C.
