Sharing Space: Two Mule Deer Bucks (One Resting, One After Recently Shedding Its Antlers)

End of Winter, March Afternoon, Colorado, Image in Silvertone.

This time of the year I see the deer eating pine needles and seeds from yucca pods. If there is a patch of green grass, they will linger and eat what they can. They drop significant amounts of weight until plants grow and green up once again. Amazing how they make do and survive!
