“Your Grace, dinner will be ready in another forty-five minutes. I’m sorry to disturb you, but as per your instruction this morning before you left the house, I must call to inform you of the dinner time,” Gustave’s voice carried a note of concern as he spoke over the intercom.

“That’s perfectly fine, Gus. Tell Lorenzo to prepare my favorite salad for dinner,” I replied, softening his worry with my—well—most friendly tone from the car intercom.

“Absolutely, Your Grace. It’s Sunday, after all—we know it’s time for your Thai mango salad.”

Before he could finish his sentence, I ended the call and pressed on the accelerator. He was right—I was a little hungry, especially after the golf session with Nikky and Aaliyah. I felt a quiet sense of satisfaction too; my project at the workshop was finally complete.

I hope your weekend was just as good as mine. Now, sit back, fasten your seat belt, and enjoy the ride with me—I’m about to pick up speed.
