Cloud Inversion, Freathy Cliffs

Well, where do I begin......this had to be seen to be believed !!! The location is Freathy Cliffs, Whitsand Bay, which is on the coast in South East Cornwall. After a disappointing photo shoot the evening before, I decided to drive along the coast road, and stay overnight in my VW. The road and car park are situated under the fog. I set my alarm for 0600, crawled out of the van, and could not see a thing.... at this point I thought the day was going to be a write-off !!! So I was carefully driving along the coast road in zero visability, when the cloud and fog completely cleared. I then decided to drive out to the Rame Peninisula, which gave me this view over Freathy. The cliffs are dotted with holiday chalets, one of which you can see exposed through the mist. Having experimented with different shutter speeds, I settled on 8 seconds using a 6 stop filter,.as I felt this gave a sense of movement as the fog rolled over the cliffs like a wave. Sorry about the long write-up, but I felt this needed some explaining, as it was so special to experience. Would be great to have some feedback on this image........Enjoy your weekend.
