The mini-rope bridge puzzle (solution)
This is a tricky puzzle - both rings must be removed. This illustration shows how to solve it. In the third image the wood disk is passed through the slot and wrapped around the beam so that the string going in exactly follows the string going out. This allows the ring to pass over the "doubled" string so that it can be removed. (the other ring is removed the same way). Be careful - a few wrong moves and you'll end up with a big tangled mess!
(Various names of this puzzle include the Mini Rope Bridge, Wit's End, T-bar, and an older topologically-similar version was called the Mystery Key).π½ππ½
