We were presented with fabric laid out on the table and were told to draw what we saw, but also turn the piece into something it wasn't, for example a landscape.

 

I used thick graphite pencil and transformed the contours into animals or pieces of animals. For example in the middle of my drawing an elephant trunk and ear can be identified, at the top I saw a dragon wing, claw, tail and face hiding within the mountains.

 

If I were to do this again, or work into the piece, I would try and make the animals more prominent, but I like the ambiguity and secretive approach, whereby the viewer can find what they want to out of the lines.
