Pinthaeus sanguinipes - Raupenjäger

This medium-sized bug belongs to the family Pentatomidae and mainly occurs in the Mediterranean area and temperate Asia as far as Korea and Japan. It is very rare in Central and Northern Europe and does not occur in the U.K. They feed on butterfly caterpillars and larvae of leaf beetle,.sawflies, etc. and overwinter as adults.
