Pseudochorthippus parallelus is a common species of the family Acrididae (Sub-family Gomphocerinae) found in many parts of Europe, including the British Isles in the west, Scandinavia in the north, the Ural mountains in the east and Spain in the south. Its preferred habitats are non-arid regions.
