12th century South Indian Fierce Goddess made of granite, currently in the Michael Carlos Museum

A number of fanged village goddesses share the iconography of this statue, including the knife, skull bowl, and bulging eyes. She also resembles the Buddhist Ekajata (or Blue) Tara who fiercely defends against evil.
