Soaked Soldier Summit
Rainswept September 12, 2002 saw a coal empty creeping up the western slope of Soldier Summit. UP's power desk had the nerve to place that yellow leader 6818 into the set of ACs. A fourth Espee shouldn't have been that hard to find.
The westbound track had a green light so we tried to catch a meet further east. A coal train was working up the other slope. And of course, the three mid-train DPU of the empty were Espee AC4400, too. The empty train was powered in 4-3-1 configuration according to my notes.
