Out on the Nevada Northern mainline

The 204 wasn't the prime choice for the participants for replacing the steam locomotive no. 93 which was wasn't 'roadworthy' in February 2009. But you deal with what you are played (I would have ended up with too many Alco shots πŸ˜‚).

The ex-SP SD9 was shoving a photo freight from East Ely to the red flag on the tracks some miles up the Nevada Northern mainline in Steptoe Valley on February 15, 2009.

During the return trip the light was slowly fading because of high clouds pulling in. There's surely some potential in some of the shots, like this one. Which was not exactly in full sun.
