Autumnal Swirl

There was something very relaxing about spending the afternoon here in the woods at this beautiful spot and taking a few long exposures.

Not much is left of the waterfall that I'm standing behind, but the small trickle that you could see here was enough to make the water basin with its autumn leaves rotate.

In order to make this movement more visible, an ND and polarizing filter were used.

I started with exposures between 2 and 6 minutes and gradually increased to an incredible 25 minutes. But not to the delight of my camera sensor.
