The glowing rock
Felsenglühen - Altschloßfelsen, Pfälzer Wald.
If the height and direction of the sun are at the correct angle from mid-April to early May and the leaves of the trees are still small, this evening light spectacle of the glowing rock can best be experienced. Now is the right time for it.
Many different perspectives are possible, telephoto lenses are common here, but also a wide angle is wonderful. In order to have a greater variety of perspectives, I took my modified telescopic extension for the camera here. To increase the stability, I leaned the extension against a tree and fixed everything for a brief moment with my body, raise ISO a bit and you're done. This is pretty old school but has often worked wonderfully.
