Silver-striped Hawk-moth or Vine Hawk-moth / Großer Weinschwärmer / Hippotion celerio
When Frank (our friend, guide and companion in the first week) opened the door of his SUV in the morning, he discovered this beautiful large moth on the back of the driver's seat. Because we did not want to take her with us on our trip, I carefully removed her and placed the moth on the shady side of the tree.
