Mammatus over the Road

Amazing skies at the back of a large thunderstorm cluster over northern Nebraska.

Although the storm was already a 20 miles away, there was much electricity in the air: our hairs were standing right up ! This isn't without risk but fortunately for us there were no nearby strikes under the backsheared anvil....
