Grid pattern Which gives NYC it biannual Manhattanhenge (In honor of our Neolithic heritage in UK) also callerd the Manhattan Solstice is an event during which the rising, but importantly setting sun aligns with the east–west street grid of Manhattan, Sunsets and sunrises each align twice a year, on dates that are evenly spaced around the summer solstice and winter solstice.
