Hveradalir geothermal area in Kerlingarfjöll

A wild place and the highlight of my trip to Iceland

Kerlingarfjöll is a 10,000 year old rhyolite mountain range that was formed from volcanic activity. It is located in the Icelandic highlands, which are a barren and uninhabitable region. It is only accessible by driving on unpaved F-roads.
