I am posting this old shot of a lighthouse in memory of a FB and Flickr friend who passed away early this morning from cancer. She was an avid lighthouse visitor, a Boatnerd member, rode on a Harley with her husband and a lover of books, specially Stephen King. When we first met online, she knew I made jewelry and entrusted me with a piece of her prized sea glass she sent to me in the mail for me to incorporate into a bracelet for her.Though she lived in the Detroit area, I never met her as happens with many of us who have FB friends. I am not sure how many of you knew Violet. Her Flickr name was Lady Pirate.
