SP 3201
Southern Pacific SDP45's 3201 and 3207 lead four other engines on a Westbound manifest train seen at the East switch at Cabazon on the East side of Beaumont Hill in September 1985.
These two engines retained their Passenger gearing and were used on company specials which probably explains the spiffy condition of the pair, even down to the white horn!
The nice scarlet red and gray paint was going to be short lived however as the engines were enroute to the shop at Sacramento to receive the ill-fated SPSF merger scheme.
