Small update to the location rule in the sidebar
Hi everyone,we noticed that the sidebar regarding location could be misunderstood and decided to try to clarify this rule. It used to say:When it comes to location, the more specific the better, but at minimum you should list the country or continent. We updated this to:When it comes to location, the more specific the better. If you wish to not disclose the location you should at the very least name the state/country. Rule of thumb for naming only the location (e.g. a lake, mountain): if you can find the place immediately by searching it in google it's fine. For possibly ambiguous locations add state/country for safety. It's always best to name the state/country, but isnt required if there's enough location context information. For example: just naming Lake Tahoe without state/country is fine; however Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ and Flagstaff Mountain in Colorado) or Portland (Oregon, Maine, UK, ...) are ambiguous locations so you should give the state/country as well to clarify which Flagstaff or Portland you mean.I hope this clears up some confusion. via /r/EarthPorn ift.tt/2ETi3ki
