Arashiyama Bamboo Groove
One of the places we went to in Kyoto two weeks ago. We spent two days and one night in Kyoto and we tried our best to visit some of the famous tourist spots there. We went to Arashiyama on our second day and we never knew that Arashiyama is a bit far from Kyoto station and it's already afternoon by the time we reached the location. As we expected there was a lot of tourists there and it was a little bit crowded. We also tried to ride a "jinrikisha" a two-wheeled cart which is pulled by a human and can sit up to two persons. They still kept the traditional style of local transportation. If you want to visit Arashiyama "Bamboo Groove" ride the JR Line from Kyoto station and get off at Arashiyama station, from there take a 10-15 minutes walk. You can also rent a bike for the whole day or an hour. Also, if you are planning to go all around Kyoto you should definitely purchase a rail pass. www.facebook.com/hitsukiphotography/photos/a.783983811701...
