A Milk Weed seed pod growing from a dune covered with snow in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. This was a close focus test for the old Nikkor 43-86mm zoom lens I am just learning to use. The lens was wide open for this photo.
Photographed on Ilford Pan-F Plus 50 at EI 80 using a Nikon F5 with a NIkkor 43-86mm f/3.5 lens and a yellow wratten 8 filter. Matrix metered. Developed in Diafine. Tint added in Tiffen DFx.
