Concluding remarks
Co-Curator Patrick Demkowicz delivers his closing remarks: “TED is not a replacement for rigorous inquiry-- it’s an idea-amplifier. At times we must dig deeply, and at others we must glance over the edge of that hole we’re digging and appreciate that the field of knowledge is vast. And I also think it’s good practice to hang around people who think about other things in different ways. That’s the essence of the liberal arts, academia aside. So take the stories and ideas from today with you when you leave. Spark a conversation. Do some research into something interesting. Think about what you might want to share with others. And if you do think something worth sharing, call us up. We’ll listen.” ©Lauren Telesz
