CUPPING HYDRATION SKIN AND INTERSTITIAL FLOW

CUPPING CAN ACT ON SKIN HYDRATION

The connective tissue is like a sponge.

The interstellar fluid (which will join the lymph), will bring water that will swell the connective tissue (the sponge). In this sponge, there are proteins, glycosaminoglycans and collagen. These will capture the water.

Effects that occur during variation of hydration due to interaction between expanding glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and the collagen interstitial matrix of tissue seem to be of major importance.
