"Welcome Back East Broad Top."
Those were the words on the Trolley Museum's sign that welcomed visitors to the press event held on February 14, 2020. While it sort of spoiled the news a bit (the sign was up before the announcement was made), it was news that many believed they would never hear. That, as one executive director of a similar time capsule out west said, the EBT had faded into the sunset.
Today, not only is the EBT back, so is steam. And soon, trackage that hasn't seen use since 1956 as the railroad begins its March to Saltillo.
