Where the Mikes Will Never Roam Again
Let's face it--the East Broad Top is in a coma and not likely to return. Even if it does return to tourist service again, the portion south of Orbisonia/Rockhill Furnace is not financially viable for restoration, in part because of the 12 bridges, 2 partially-collapsed tunnels, and numerous grade crossings (some of which are on state highways) between Rockhill and Robertsdale that would need extensive inspection and repair. The portion north to Mount Union is more realistic, though I admit going south as far as Saltillo would be feasible, if expensive. The mikes will probably never roam through this tunnel through Sidling Hill again.
