Once and Future Stablemates

While the crews prepare 11 for bed over the pit at the Claysburg shop, the engine--assuming locomotives could talk to each other-- is probably exchanging words with the boiler resting on a flat car. These two are old friends, in a way. The boiler is that of Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain 2-8-0 #38, later Gettysburg 38 and Knox & Kane 38. Both engines were preserved by Dr. Stanley Groman and spent time at his Rail City Museum in Sandy Pond, NY. The full story is rather long, but fate seems to think these two belong together.
