IMG_0028 - CHR - Alun the Ruston shunter
Ruston Hornsby 0-4-0DE (458641 of 1963), which runs as 11517 at Llynclys. Currently the mainstay of passenger trains to Pen Y Garreg Lane, the engine is soon to be named 'Alun Evans' in memory of a much-missed stalwart CHR volunteer.
This photo shows the stage re-painting of the engine had reached on August 12, 2014. Note the addition of the 'wasp' stripes to the front - those for the rear were about to be marked out when this photo was taken.
