DSCN3220 crop2

In appauling weather conditions, BMS joins Lochbroom and Assynt Field Clubs on annual assay of the fruiting of the extremely rare White Stalkball fungus Tulostoma niveum. This occurs only in mountains on pads of moss on limestone bolders. It is a BAP species only occuring on two sites in the UK both in Scotland and a few sites in Finland and Sweden.
