Duke
The TSS Duke of Lancaster is a railway steamer passenger ship that operated in Europe from 1956 to 1979, and is currently beached near Mostyn Docks, on the River Dee, north-east Wales. It replaced an earlier 3,600 ton ship of the same name operated by the London Midland and Scottish Railway company between Heysham and Belfast.
I photographed it in the summer of 2013 and created an AV for my local photographic society later that year.
The ship has had a checkered history and there is a lot of information online.
This video is in itself is a little bit of history because the graffiti that was commissioned to make the ship a public gallery has now been painted over and lost.
Enjoy
ps The video is cut slightly short but the full version is on Youtube
