Testing with Vigilance
I recently worked up the nerve to disassemble my Kodak Vigilant Six-20. It's shutter was gummed up and every shutter speed acted like about 1/25 or so. I pulled the lens off, removed the elements, then gave the shutter a Ronsonol bath. Works like a charm, now! However, this roll was my second test roll. I didn't pay attention to how the front element came off and shot the first test roll with it a full rotation out of focus. After putting it on in a different way and collimating it, this test roll came out much better!
Also, if you're ever wanting more info on old folders check out the excellent website of Mike Eckman. This article of Mike's was the inspiration for me deciding to tackle fixing my Vigilant.
This is Leroy's Cafe in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. I've never been a patron of the place, but after scouting the area on Google maps, I wanted to go test the Vigilant out there.
