Class 231 231005 and Class 150 150229 at Cardiff Central
New in the form of Class 231 231005 operating 2Y54 1344 Bargoed to Barry Island and Class 156 156229 operating 2T32 1429 Cardiff Central to Treherbert stand side-by-side at Cardiff Central's Platform's 8 and 7. In the relatively near future, the Class 231's will shift to operate Maesteg-Gloucester and Cardiff-Ebbw Vale services. Many years ago, standing on Platform 7 awaiting the train to Barry the photgrapher remembers the smell wafting over the station from the adjacent Brain's brewery. Sadly, the brewery is long gone. 20th November 2024.
