Milking Cows on the shore, Port Soderick
Clarke's Cafe on the other side of the river was there before the Forresters took over. The Clarke family used to farm Ballig on Quines Hill, they used to take the cows down to the beach to be milked and then the milk would be sold to the visitors. There was also a cafe called 'Creecher's' further around the coast, Thomas Henry Monteith Forrester bought both these cafes out.
