Port Soderick before Forresters bought it
Port Soderick before Forresters bought it and before the veranda was built on the front, Sarah Forrester had cultivated gardens on the rear slope behind where hens were kept and veg grown for use at the hotel. This photo is before the parade and the slipway were built. There was a water supply on the hillside behind but it was not sufficient to supply the place and so a spring was found in the glen on Lhergy Farm land and the Quayles gave permission to pipe the water down the hill to the hotel.
