Port Soderick Glen

Before the Forresters took on Port Soderick and bought the 'Glen', it was just a valley below the track. Thomas Forrester landscaped it and planted it with trees and shrubs, there were bluebells all the way up the side of the path, there were Rhododendrons the whole length, Ann Pickering described it as 'beautiful in the spring'. This photo of Port Soderick Glen shows the 'plateau' which had a path around the edge and crazy golf in the middle which a stall that sold lemonade and ice cream in the summer, you can see Crogga Mansion House in the background, note the lack of trees.
