Black & White view from glen, Port Soderick
A postcard of the view looking towards the beach from Port Soderick Glen. There is a road and bridge to The Lhergy Farm, behind was a field known as the 'Rhine Field' which was a plateau then rose steeply towards the railway station, every year a large number of boy scouts used to come over to the Isle of Man and hold a camp on the plateau, they got their supplies from the Port Soderick Hotel. As children, Ann and John Forrester were allowed to go down there for breakfast on a Saturday morning, they would have Force (a type of cereal), bacon, egg and toast and thought they were 'in clover'!
