Gingerbread turnip for hop-tu-naa

A gingerbread turnip lantern, created for hop-tu-naa in October 2016.

Gingerbread is a traditional part of Hollantide fairs on the Isle of Man, making it a traditional treat around the celebration of hop-tu-naa.

Although carved turnips are traditional to the celebrations of hop-tu-naa itself, it is not a traditional form of gingerbread biscuit... but we thought it would make a good design!
