Newport Bus YK66CBC

Yutong E12LF ZK6128BEVG

Yutong, one of China's largest bus and coach manufacturers, began selling TC9 ZK6938H and TC12 ZK6129H in the UK as early as 2014. Both coaches are popular with operators. But Yutong did not launch buses in the UK until 2017. E12LF ZK6128BEVG electric bus demonstrator and ZK6126HGA diesel bus demonstrator were brought in early 2017. ZK6128BEVG electric bus demonstrator have on loan to many operators for trial, including Arriva, First, Stagecoach, Go-Ahead, and more. Thanks to the Ultra-low emission bus scheme, Yutong finally won the first E12LF order in 2019. Newport Bus ordered 15 E12LF, its first orderer and the only one so far. In August 2019, Yutong sold the demonstrator to Newport Bus as the first bus in the order. The remaining 14 buses are expected to be delivered next year.

Compared with the E12 sold in China, in order to ensure the same low-floor layout as the diesel bus, the battery is placed on the roof instead of the bottom. Because the battery is placed on the front and the air conditioner is placed on the back, this bus looks more like a CNG bus.

The ZK6126HGA diesel bus demonstrator brought in 2017 is not as lucky as the ZK6128BEVG electric bus demonstrator. Since 2017, it has on loan to many operators, but it has never received any orders.

Yutong also delivered an E10 ZK6118BEVG electric bus demonstrator for TfL in 2018. Although it also benefits from the Ultra-low emission bus scheme, the buyers of the E10 ZK6118BEVG are not TfL, but Go North East and First York.
