Belmond Andean Explorer Spirit of the Water Itinerary

The Belmond Andean Explorer operates along one of the world’s highest rail routes in the Peruvian Andes; some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world.

The Club arranges the hotels in Peru before and after the Belmond Andean Explorer journey.

From Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire—traversing the highest plains of the Andes—to the reflective beauty of Lake Titicaca. Take the opportunity to explore the vast Colca Canyon then continue towards the city centre of Arequipa, a UNESCO World Heritage site (or in reverse). Travelling through some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world, Belmond Andean Explorer is designed to connect guests with the abundant nature of the Peruvian Andes.

ACCOMMODATION

The Belmond Andean Explorer has capacity for 68 guests in a range of en-suite cabins including 2 double cabins, 20 twin cabins and 12 bunk-bed style cabins for two people.

There are two dining cars, a lounge car and an observation car with an open-air deck for scenic viewing - and breathing the clear Andean air.

Interior designs, by Inge Moore of The Gallery HBA, are inspired by the texture of Peru’s hand-woven fabrics and the soft tones of the Alpaca wool blended with Andean slate greys, creating a sense of calm thus enabling guests to unplug, relax and enjoy the journey.
